Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who have a desire to stop eating compulsively. Patterned after the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, members recover through shared experience, strength and hope from the disease of compulsive overeating.

The Ottawa and Area Intergroup supports the groups in Eastern Ontario and Northern New York State by providing services for the individual groups of Overeaters Anonymous within this area.
